I didn't notice any follow-up comments so I thought I would start something.
We had a great ride! The weather held out and we even funished up in the sun and heat for some ice cream.
The route was great - a few gravel road excursions (which I enjoy).
Apparently Matt won the door prize and drove home on his NICE Warrior. I don't even remember seeing raffle tickets being sold. I think it was rigged. Matt's wife "Lefty" took home the old bike. What's that, a 3-bike family now?
Dino Land was fun - it was so corny as to be cool. I think we'll see some fun pictures posted soon by Matt and Dave.
Most important - a great group of people to go riding with. We did notice the Gold Wings were not present. Must have been the annual Gold Wing maintenance day or something.
Moses, I have to agree 100 percent!! Great ride, fun route, and wonderful folks. I really didn't mind the dirt roads all that much, but let's face it, Harley Road Kings aren't built for unpaved routes. Still, the entire day was loads of fun.
Now that you've mentioned it, I have to agree about the raffle thing. I don't seem to recall anything about a raffle for a gorgeous Yamaha Road Warrior with real loud pipes. My only guess is that the raffle was fixed and Matt walked away with the bike. Seems to me that since this was a sanctioned PARR event (third Saturday ride, right??) we should seek a full investigation by the PARR Sgt at Arms.
A great ride without rain-WOOHOOOOOO!! We need more rain-free days!!

I enjoyed the route. Good job Dave ! Lets toss out the 2 gravel roads and ride the route again in the fall.
Oh, no-one mentioned that Dinosuaer Land is for kids of "all" ages as the photographic resullts will clearly show.
Plus, the food was great and in large portions. Oh yea, we got first class treatment, Dave ensured we had a reservation and the table was waiting for us along with two waitresses.
Plus Ed (not DeerSlayer) brought fresh stawberries and cheeries to share at the start of ride and were they GOOD.
Plus ice cream in the SUN as previously mentioned.
Let do this again ! - Mike Mrozek

Well, so much for just doing a map recon of the route. The bad news was about 9 miles of dirt roads. The good news is we've now all had our annual refresher training on how to ride dirt roads. I'll modify the route to eliminate the rough spots, and I'll try to ride the WV leg before we do this again.
Thanks to all for enduring the enduro. :-)

WOOHOO, dinosaur land, dinosaur land, dinosaur land! The ride was great and I for give Dave for the dirt roads. But that one road will very nice when they finish it. It's not my fault you didn't get a ticket for the raffle....hehe... Yes, my wife now known as "Lefty" (I will explain at the social meeting) drove all the way from Front Royal to Warrenton for ice cream and then home. She did a great job for not riding in almost 2 1/2 years. The pictures will be posted soon.
