Message Sunday is the first Sunday of the Month, the weather forecast is for cloudy with a high around 40 with a chance of snow flurries late in the afternoon. Is there a ride planned or should I just stay in bed?

Message As scheduled, it is the "First Sunday" ride. I will not be there, but I figure it is up to Nelson (Road Captain) to post if the ride is cancelled or delayed.

Message I think it's a little slippery out there so if it's up to me then the 1st Sunday ride is cancelled. But feel free to organize a pick-up ride if you so desire.

Message Last month I posted the same question and got no answers, what so ever. Ron,thank's for your reply to my question this month. Nelson your reply/cancellation notice was a little late.
I Know riding this time or year,November to March is always iffy, depending on the weather. If the weather report calls for rain or snow it's a no brainer, stay home, otherwise it would be nice to know if the ride is cancelled by 9PM Saturday night. More than once I have gotten up early on Sunday morning and riden over to the Masonic Lodge only to find that no one else has shown up or a few guy's have shown up but no Road Captain or officers to lead a ride.
If the sun is out and the temp is above freezing,I'll ride and so will alot of other members.

Message Jack, Last month I was not the Road Captain. I think that was Mike Wascak. I apologize for not posting the ride cancellation the evening before but I didn't know there would be snow when we awoke either. Even when the weather permits the roads are there for riding with or without a Road Captain or another officer so please feel free to do the Sunday ride whenever you like.
I will make an announcement though. I will be out of the country for the next 5 weeks or so and in the interim I offically appoint Jack to assume the Road Captain duties during that period. When I return I will relieve you of these duties and be glad to lead whomever would like to ride. I have a few routes that need to be ridden and a few that would be nice to ride so there will be lots of Sunday rides coming up but in the interm, Jack, please make sure the weekend rides go as smoothly as possible.
Thanks, Nelson

Message At our next business meeting, I will make a recommendation that at least one officer or delegate be present at all published PARR activities. Before joining the club, Barbara and I went to a social where nobody showed up. Not encouraging for a prospective member.

Message This recommendation is great but execution is another matter. I would also like to have a person(s) responsible to insure at least one officer or delegate would present and co-ordinate this via the web site. I would suggest the Ride Captain for the rides and possibly the new Social Meeting chairman (Andy Perkins) for the PARR Socials. Please discuss this at the meeting for member consensus and vote.
