Message I want to apologize to the Polar Bear team for my absence on Wednesday. I had volunteered to help at registration and perform "sweeper" duties for the route, and I hope that my absence didn't burden the group. Late Tuesday afternoon I became quite ill with an intestinal virus, and I suffered from its effects well into Wednesday evening. I stayed home from work yesterday and I'm still a bit woozy today, although now I'm feeling much better. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this doesn't happen again for next year's run!

Message Hi Dave,
Glad to hear from ya. Your forgiven ! Luckily we had a good turnout of PARR members to help with the event. Sure wish the weather would have been like the day before !

I also didn't ride in. I tried, I stopped my bike 3 times within 1/4 mile of my home for "fogging up" and turned around and drove the cagger to the event.

Looks like crappy weather this weekend. "www.weather.com" is reporting snow showers for Sat and Sunday.

I've been wanting to head for skyline drive and stop at the resturant there for "chili", will have to wait.

I will be gone 1/13/03 to 1/24/03 on a business trip, so you won't likely see me anytime soon.

Best wishes, glad your feeling better.
Mike

PS. Learned today my 94 Taurus has a blown head gasket...when it rains, it pours or is that it snows ?

Message Get well, soon Dave. Sorry about the timing, but glad you stayed home. Somebody with the flu did show up for the PBR, 3 years ago. Guess who that &$#@ passed the virus on to!
