Here are the options being considered for "The Big Ride" on the weekend of July 12-13. 1) Old Dominion Route - Entirely within the state of Virginia, encompassing the corners of Rosslyn, Winchester, Bristol and Virginia Beach, with some additional makeup miles. Mostly Interstate with primary road between Bistol and Va. Beach. Probability of completion is very good. 2) Savannah, GA Route - Head to the Peach Tree State for candied pecans and miles. All Interstate. Probability of completion is excellent. 3) Rally Time - Enter the Keystone 1000 Endurance Rally. See details at www.batldr.com/keystone_1000.htm Experience a real Long Distance rally. A fixed route for SaddleSore 1000 hopefuls has been established by the rallymasters. Along the way, we have the option of playing the game by collecting points at bonus locations. All types of roads within the Northeast are likely to be encountered. Rally starts on Saturday morning in York, PA. Cost of rally is $60 (t-shirt included). Hotel for Friday night is about $70. Probability of completion is very good. Options 1 & 2 could be scrapped in case of bad weather. We would lose our rally fee on Option 3 if we bug out. What flavor turns you on?
I vote for option 1, stay in Virginia. I'm not sure if anyone else has already done that route, but I'd like to explore all of my home state before I go riding off somewhere else. I think it would also be safer since everyone will be closer to home.

Option 1 is good but option 2 is better and chocolate turns me on. Thanks for asking!

Option 2 sounds interesting but I do like option 3. It's too bad that options 1 & 2 are being scheduled the same time as 3. I would have considered both.
Bottom-line... I'll go along with the majority!

My preference would be for option 2, then 1 and 3 last.
