I can't stand it. I last started my bike on 1/1/03 for the Polar Bear ride and had to turn back for "fogging up". Just returned from a two week TDY....and want to get out.
I worked on a route for my GPS that take me from Sterling, VA (the IHOP location) to Gapland State park in MD, to Antietam Battlefield area back to Berrryville, VA to RT7 and Snickesville Pike to Rt50 and end up in my neighboorhood (Ashburn Farm).
I'm willing to lead a small group of fellow PARR members or applicants who've already signed a waiver. This is an informal ride. Be prepared for a wrong turn...this is a road test of my route and chance for me to become more familiar with my GPS.
Ideally other participants will have a CB Radio but not required. Standard PARR riding rules in effect.
Lunch location will be ad-hoc or lets see what we find along the way....like I said this is an explorative ride to test my mapping software and GPS. But lets have fun....ride to eat...eat to ride.
I have one brave soul (Dave R.) willing to join me. Anyone else ?
Meet us aat the IHOP at 0800hrs (that's 8am.) on Sunday morning for breakfest. Plan to depart at 0900hrs (that's 9am.). Weather channel sez high will be low 40's and cloudy....no rain.
Note: The IHOP resturant is on RT7 (Leesburg Pike) just West of the RT7 and Drainsville Rd. intersection in Sterling, VA and just East of RT7 and Sterling Blvd. It's along side the Food Lion grocery store. I normally park in the Food Lion parking lot and walk to IHOP.
I forgot to mention the mapping software indicates the route is appx. 125 miles long taking about 3.5 hrs. Not sure I would agree on time length...../mpm

I need to blow the dust off my bike and run some gas through the fuel injectors. If I can get my butt out of bed in the morning I will meet you at the IHOP.

It's confirmed. I WILL be at IHOP at 0800, Mike. Hope to see you too, Jack (and anyone else with the huevos to ride tomorrow). ;-)
